Surf magic

Many beaches in Mykonos, especially in the north of the island, are perfect spots for windsurfing lovers. However, if you decide to become a wind-tamer, you must follow instructions as the island has a large share of the strong summer meltemi winds that may require extra expertise to handle. Best windsurfing beaches are Ftelia, Korfos and Kalafatis.

When in Mykonos, a private tour of nearby Delos Island is a must. Delos is the birthplace of ancient gods Apollo and Artemis; and the only place in Greece where ancient private homes have been found in a wonderful state and are perfectly preserved. Since 1990 Delos has been declared a World Heritage Site, protected by UNESCO.
